Do we really need to be taught to be organised?

Reading daily about how to get organised and how to set about your tasks and lead a very organised life make me wonder.

Do we really need to be taught to be organised? In India, we are brought up watching our mothers being super woman and adept at organising things. Whether handling multiple kitchen demands, fitting hordes of things in seemingly small places, looking after the playing children and household responsibilities.

They were a master at it…..nothing seemed complex, all so effortless.

How much they hoarded….and they had everything you asked for….no need to rush to . buy safety pins, Fevicol or that extra piece of cloth for needlework. They could fit all in 3 cupboards what we are unable to fit in 6.

They were really amazing….creating new things out of old…masters of innovation combined with smart economics.

Today, I look back upon those small memories and start following my mother the same way.  And feeling a sense of pride at being so good in adopting their simple tricks.

Yes….I do admit that times are changing…. working women are saddled with more functions and responsibilities.

But we need to accept ……we are not super women. Just prioritising 5 out of your need-to-do 10 tasks a day makes our days much easier.

We are not born to be super woman. We are born to be great, caring, effortless and just look back with a smile and say….”oh really…no problem”.
