We thrive on convenience. In today’s e-driven world, ordering books online has become such a convenience that we have forgotten our super book stores….at least I had.
Until …….i just decided to walk into one sometime back.
And …………all magic came back.
The wonder of being surrounded by books galore.
The impatience of going from one shelf to another.
The sheer excitement of having such a large collection of books to just see and observe.
The feeling of picking up a book and going through it.
And finally, the super euphoric satisfaction of walking out of the door with those prized possessions being clutched under the arm.
No online click, no home delivery, can ever even remotely compare to that feeling of being in the book store enveloped by the great piles of books. Beckoning, Inviting. An invitation to be picked up…..a call to be browsed through……a desire to be taken home.
There was a time when it used to be treat to take my daughters to Crossword Book store… an outing we looked forward to. A sure time pass of at least an hour.
My daughter and I are once again discovering this joy.
Believe me . Do not click and order. Just visit those good old bookstore day and walk once again into the world of magic, joy and and pleasures.

Well said Preeta Chag you have spoken for all of us. The best way to start is to begin reading all the books resting on our book shelves as they say charity begins at home.
