To me, reading is not only a pleasure.
It is also an academic inclination. To read, to imbibe, to understand and to store all the information and knowledge.
And this is why reading is such a pleasure.
But what to do when one is caught up reading a big fat book?
On one hand, there is an enjoyment of turning page after page, reading, imbibing, understanding and the devouring of knowledge.
But on the other hand, is the super conflict of time constraint and the impatience of wanting to shift to another book. Reading such books take time due to busy schedules.
At presently, i am reading ‘India after Gandhi’ by Ramchandran Guha. Believe me, it is a great book. I am thoroughly wanting to and enjoying reading this synopsis of Indian democracy. The research gone into this book is overwhelming. And it is an extremely hard task trying to condense the history of the country in such a book.
But there is this flip side, I am getting impatient. I want to now finish this book quick and go onto the next. And the next. And the next.
I assume, many are faced with this conflict. But i think this is a dilemma all book lovers face, don’t they?
