It is the process of selecting a book into your TBR list.
I find this process too exciting. Going through new titles, newly released books list, websites which you have ticked for preference (I use goodreads a lot), following some publishers, and so on.
There are so many websites to choose from and GoodReads is my favourite go-to place, though lately it has become a little muddled.
Joining book groups on Facebook, following publishers on social media, and also being part of book clubs is a sure shot way of gaining word about new books, and also some not-so-known books too.
But the best is to walk into your neighbourhood store and let the magic of books overwhelm you. The mesmerising array of so many books, going from shelf to shelf, and the sheer joy of picking up each book and feeling the pages through your fingers is so exhilarating.
I have always prided myself on the knack of always picking up good books to read, even amongst the strange ones. I fancy myself to be one of the instinctive book selector who seldom goes wrong.
And the best part is the end of the visit…. an armful of books, a thrill of picking up new titles and extra thrill of adding it to your library at home.
Of course, the woeful part is wondering when is one gonna get time to read it?
